A Poem Based off of a Memory

“Never Again”

A breeze gently reaches out,

It carries the bees’ sound,

the butterfly’s path,

the flower’s perfume.

Pulled away, ripped from peace.

Contemplation will have to wait.

Chaos takes its’ turn… again.

Stomach knots

A heavy heart,

Shaking hands

Obscure opinions need to rule,

Insults cut deep, disrespect violates,

Trust destroyed, love questioned… again.

Cuts heal.

Scars fade.

Boundaries remain.

Blood spills… never again.
